Sudarshan kriya helpful in Rheumatoid Arthritis

I fell very ill with Rheumatoid Arthritis in early 2008. Although this auto-immune condition runs in my family, I was a very healthy individual and it was an unexpected blow. I underwent treatment in Allopathy, Homeopathy and Ayurveda to no avail. The condition has a mind of its own and would not respond to anything. I approached the AOL Panchakarma centre in Bangalore. The Doctor there asked me if i had done the Sudarshan Kriya course. I said no. She prescribed some medicine and advised me to do the Sudarshan Kriya course and then come back for further treatment.  I couldn't understand why she wanted me to do some course instead of undergoing treatment. I however saw that she was a thorough professional so I took her advice and signed up for a Happiness program close to our home. My husband also did it with me. During the course, I felt good doing the Kriya but i cannot say I was very deeply influenced or anything like that. I practised the Short Kriya regularly because the teach...

Through The Master's Eyes

Once Guruji was returning to the German Ashram from Caracas, Venezuela. However, due to unavailability of a direct flight to Frankfurt, he landed in Paris before going to the Ashram. It was a surprise visit for all Parisians. It also happened to be Guruji's birthday according to the Hindu calendar. So a surprise satsang with a cake was planned in the hotel where he was staying. At around 6 pm, about 150 people had gathered, who had about 1 hour notice to reach the venue. It was a beautiful, intimate satsang and birthday party. One of the volunteers asked Guruji, "How did this plan for Paris come up?". It seemed like a very mundane question. Here's what Guruji said -, "There are plans at many levels. There is a room plan, what colour to paint the walls, where to keep the flower vase? Then there is a house plan, street plan, city plan, country plan and so on at various levels of detail. The biggest plan is that we are all here at the same time, one in s...

Gurudev In Today's Satsang At Bangalore Ashram 23 April 23

🌟 Meditation is the art of doing nothing and doing nothing, many things will start happening.  🌟 Knowledge is limited but the unknown is limitless. Knowing that something is limitless, a sense of honour automatically wells up. That is honouring the secret. 🌟 If you are deciding to have a life partner with your head, it is like smelling something through the ears, it will never happen! You don't choose partners thinking.  🌟 If someone close to you betrays you, have compassion for them. They were misled by their poor judgement, they thought that they could be happy by betraying you. See beyond their action.

Meditation and Sudarshan Kriya automatically freed you from bad habits

A person whose mind is turned outward can never attain God  March 08, 2012 (Below is the transcript of Satsang with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. You can watch the Live webcast of future satsangs) When you go to a shop to buy something, it comes with a package. It is packaged. This packaging is essential, but it is not the substance. It is the substance which is packed. Similarly, formalities are just a package. It is like a wrapping paper. The real thing is the belongingness. If there isn’t a feeling of oneness, then it cannot be called a satsang or utsav (celebration). I have travelled around the world and I have noticed that none of the countries have spirituality and celebration connected so deeply as in India. On one hand, they are spiritual while on the other hand they go to parties and are involved in merrymaking. However, in spiritual gatherings, there is no fun or happiness; it is a very serious affair. We do this even in India as well - become very serious, but it should not be li...

Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana) called sweet leaf or candyleaf

Good morning friends, as we begin with a new week, we start a fresh topic of studying natural non-caloric sweeteners that could replace refined sugar and offer healthier alternatives for people with a sweet tooth. Our first plant in this category of Natural Sweeteners is Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana), also called sweet leaf or candyleaf, is a flowering plant in the sunflower family (Asteraceae) grown for its sweet-tasting leaves. The extracts of its leaves are processed into a powder and stevia is used as a sugar substitute in most of the developed world. The plant is native to Paraguay, where it has a long history of use by the Guaraní people. The leaves contain a number of sweet-tasting chemicals known as steviol glycosides, which can be used fresh or dried to sweeten beverages or desserts and can be commercially processed into powdered noncaloric sweeteners. The glycoside extracts from Stevia are 300 times sweeter than table sugar and are nonglycemic (i.e., they do not affect blood gl...
