பசுபதீஸ்வரர் கோயில், திருக்கொண்டீஸ்வரம் / Thirukondeswaram / Thirukandeeswaram, Thiruvarur District, Tamil Nadu. This is the 189th Thevara Paadal Petra Shiva Sthalam and 72nd sthalam on the south side of river Kaveri of Chozha Nadu. This place once called as Thirukondeeswaram, now called as Thirukandeeswaram.  In Periyapuranam Sekkizhar records that Thirunavukkarasu Swamigal went to Thiruvanjiyam after worshiping Lord Shiva of Thiruveezhimizhalai. He didn’t mention this temple in particular. Since we have got the hymns on this temple and this place is on the way between the above two temples. Hence Appar worshiped Lord Shiva of this temple also.

Temple of Meruvarddhanaswami at Pandrethan near Srinagar

Temple of Meruvarddhanaswami at Pandrethan near Srinagar.  The small village of Pandrethan is situated 3 miles above Srinagar on the Anantnag cart-road. At present its only attraction, excepting the newly built military barracks, is the well-preserved mediaeval temple behind the willow grove on the left-hand side of the cart-road (Plates XLIV, LXIII, LXIV, LXV and LXVI). The temple measures 17 feet 6 inches square externally, and belongs to the mandapa type - i.e., it is open on all the four sides. The unusually bold projection of the pilasters which support the pediments of the porches is "a great improvement upon the earlier stage, as the boldness of the projection and the retirement of the connecting walls afford a great and pleasing variety of light and shade which is altogether wanting in some parts of the more ancient buildings." The roof is of the usual pyramidal type, but its monotony is relieved by an ornamental band of dentils which divides it horizontally into two ...

The Biggest Shift Of My Life

The biggest u-turn of my life started when I met Guruji. Initially, I was not aware of what He really is, so when I did my first Art Excel course eight years back, I never realised the importance of it. I just took it lightly like any random activity done by a child. But I was blessed with Guru’s Grace and once again after I completed my schooling, I came across the Yes+ Course, suggested by my uncle. I finally successfully completed the course after several attempts made by my uncle and cousins who had experienced this grace before I could. I wasn’t really interested in doing it but my Yes+ teacher was always behind me. She was the one who always pushed me towards this grace. The year 2011 was filled with too many ups and downs in my life. That was when I realised the true importance of having a Guru in my life. I was very depressed; always worrying about certain things that I could not resist thinking about. It was bothering me every day, every hour, every second. I was totally shatt...
