Chapter 5 -  *Day 23* When you sit with the Master, listen and learn, you understand something deeper because you get in touch with that inner aspect of yours that is immortal.  With your self effort you gain the power and with the help Master you get in touch with Knowledge. The Master cannot make you powerful.  He gives you a glimpse, that seed, that is essential for illustration, but by your self effort and your attention on it, you grow into that power. By the self effort you gain power and through Knowledge you attain immortality. So, there are three things essentially, your self effort with the grace of Master.  These two things together may bring the Knowledge in you and that Knowledge brings you immortality. In July 2018, i came to Canada to join my husband and was filled with mixed emotions as i left my family, friends, job, independence and teachers behind. Though i was thankful to Gurudev that i got the opportunity to travel to Canada to experience a new country and culture but i had my doubts about finding a new job. I dragged myself through my SSC (10th standard exams), just dreaming of getting into the best possible college in Mumbai. My dream surely came true when I took Science in R. D. National College & W. A. Science College in Bandra. However things didn’t quite work out well with the studies part and I dropped out of FYJC (11th standard) due to my disinterest in Sciences. Art of Living came into my life at a time when I was in a totally miserable condition, when I needed a helping hand from the Divine, as I had given up all hope.
