That is mind, that which measures everything around us. This whole world is called maya. Maya means that which can be measured.

*Chapter 3 - Self Discovery* *Day 9* The biggest challenge in front of mankind is that man or woman doesn't look within. You keep looking outside. I met a professor who was telling the definition of mind.  I said that no body has given that definition. Not one physiologist or psychiatrist is able to define what the mind is. "Mana." The word "mana" means the consciousness which goes outwards.  That is mind. When the consciousness which goes outwards turns inside, it is called "Nama" or "No Mind". So, it is the consciousness which goes outside through the eyes and looks at the world and projects itself often.  It is projecting whatever is in its mind. Sometimes people ask me, "Why are you so angry at me"? I said ," "What?" "You didn't look at me, I thought you are angry at me". My God I do not have time to be angry at you. It would waste my time. Being angry at what? You think because you did s...

Don't waste today on what happened yesterday. Wake up and say "I have the valor and courage to overcome this."

कल जो हुआ उस पर आज को व्यर्थ न करें। जागें और कहें "मेरे पास इस पर नियंत्रण पाने की वीरता और साहस है।"

Why is your prana moving? What makes your prana move? What makes your heart beat? What is the power behind all these involuntary functions that are happening within you?

*Chapter 2 - Opening Yourself To The Unknown* *Day 8* It is so beautiful! What is it that motivates our mind to go toward the senses and our senses to move towards the sense objects?  What is the motivating factor behind this involuntary function that is happening in us? Your breath is moving in and out day and night.  What is propelling it to do so? Why would your mind go to see nice things or hear melodious music or your nostril look for fragrance.?  Why are you motivated to move in these directions? Why do things appear beautiful or good to you sometimes and sometimes they don't?  You go to Hawaii and say, "Oh, Hawaii is so beautiful" But people who live in Hawaii, don't feel the same. What makes you appreciate things? Why is your prana moving? What makes your prana move? What makes your heart beat? What is the power behind all these involuntary functions that are happening within you?  What makes you speak? And what makes people speak? It's inter...

"Kena" means question. Kena Upanisad itself means: What ? Who? Where? When? Why? Before the age of three these questions don't arise at all in the mind.

*Chapter 2 - Opening Yourself To The Unknown* *Day 7* It is repeated twice - “It is. Let it be. Let it be”. Let the virtues the Dharma be ingrained deep in me, in every cell of my being and get established in me.  This is the prayer. Now the Upanishad begins. When you read this prayer, you may feel, "Oh is it a boot camp"? It says forget about your intellect and just surrender everything and be goody goody.  So, what is this being taught? Are you loosing yourself somewhere? Am I going to loose something?" What is there to loose It's saying shut your intellect and just be emotional, accept everything". Is that what is being said? No. The Upanisad always encourages the quest the enquiry. They encourage your intellectual brilliance by questioning. "Kena" means question. Kena Upanisad itself means: What ? Who? Where? When? Why? Before the age of three these questions don't arise at all in the mind.  You are in such a blissful state, but whe...
