Gurudev, as you always ask us to surrender our botherations, pains and problems to you, in a way are we running away from our responsibilities?

Question - Gurudev, as you always ask us to surrender our botherations, pains and problems to you, in a way are we running away from our responsibilities? Gurudev Sri Sri - No! You should have a balance there. You give your 100% and then leave the rest. Surrender does not mean running away from responsibilities, it is a sense of assurance in you that yes things are going to be well.

The Blessings have been so intense that during this leave period, I could not only do another Part 2 Course and DSN Course, but I and my wife also successfully completed our Blessing Course, during our first ever visit to the Bangalore Ashram

I had done my Part 1 Course in 2006 at Mumbai. After the Part 1 course I did a Part 2 Course and the Sahaj Samadhi Course thereafter. However, I was never regular with my Sadhana practices. Due to some or the other reasons was never regular with the Sudarshan Kriya (meditation). Thereafter, in July 2012, I had suffered a very painful health condition, which lasted for a couple of months, followed by discomfort for a few more months. Having retired over three years ago, I have been sailing off the Indian coast in Offshore Vessels on contract basis for 2 to 3 months at a stretch in each contract, to make my living. An Offshore Vessel is a small ship and often rolls and pitches i.e. rocks with the waves. The routine on board is very tight, with limited time to even sleep. I have rarely ever done the Kriya on board. Even when at home on leave for over 2 months at a stretch after signing off from the ship, I was never regular with the Kriya. Meditation But during my recent contr...

When you go deep in meditation, the consciousness becomes very subtle, and your mind becomes fresh like a flower.

🌺Are we slaves of our mind? I say no, because there is something beyond the mind, and that is the intellect. When the intellect is strong, it overcomes the impact of these factors on the mind. When the intellect is weak, then the emotions take over the mind. Now, what if the intellect also gets affected? Then there is something beyond the intellect and that is the Self. This is where meditation makes a big difference. When you go deep in meditation, the consciousness becomes very subtle, and your mind becomes fresh like a flower. In such a delicate state of consciousness, all thoughts move away, emotions get settled and you experience the most tranquil, most benevolent and most beautiful inner space.

You know the big mind is part of you and you are part of it, so just relax. This is when Samadhi happens very quickly.

Gurudev, the yoga sutra says, 'Theevra samvegaanam asanah', having a strong desire, makes the path faster. Another aspect is contentment or relaxing. How can I be having a strong desire and be relaxed? Guruji Sri Sri : This is like driving a car. Do you know how to drive a car? You have to see the rear mirror, side mirror and the windshield. How do you do that balance? The same way you do this. You should have an intense desire and at the same time not be in a hurry; just relax.          If you want to make good food, you have to start the process of cooking but you can't hurry up. If you are making rice, it will take its time to cook. If it takes ten minutes, the whole ten minutes are needed for the rice to cook. You cannot put the rice on the stove and say, I want it to be cooked in one minute. Then that quality of rice cooked for one minute will not be good.            That is why it is said, 'Samadha siddhi, ishwara ...
