See everything in oneself and oneself in everything...it's essence of life...don't be football of other's opinions..

Nature of the mind  Suppoa delicate piece of cloth...silk is stuck in bush, skill is required to remove it....difficult for mind too...it can't exist without dualities and whatever we identify as good and bad...mind will follow that only. When you have failed, you have blamed practices or tools you used. I am not fit for this. It is easy to get into such conclusions. What to do ? You have heard story of monkey...whenever you think of mantra...don't think of monkey. So, once he started meditating but monkey came in his mind..everytime he had monkeys...mind is such...Ashtavakra knows this...one golden mantra is there...concept of wonder..where there is wonder....there is no mind. Mind makes concepts, then to likes and dislikes. In wonder, concepts are absent.  It is really wonder to see a man who has seen himself as not bounded to body but getting into the gross. One who is more aware is hurt by his mind....what troubles ....enquiring into it..what troubles......

Invoke the valor in you. Just say, Okay, whatever comes, I am going to take it as a challenge. When you invoke this energy, fear vanishes

A seeker should also carry on his Seva, Sadhna, Satsang and Chanting daily to keep the mind shining

A Saint had the practise of cleaning his Lota( an indian pot for storing water) daily. One day his curious disciple asked him "O! My master why do you clean the pot daily? Is'nt it enough to clean it once a week? The Saint replied " Yes my dear , you are right , I shall clean it once a week hereafter.  From that day he stopped cleaning the pot. The shining pot was getting duller and duller day by day.One day the saint called the disciple and asked him to clean the pot. The pot was difficult to clean, it took a long time to clean. The disciple had to work harder to make the pot shining like before. The saint told his disciple , as long as the pot was cleaned daily it was shining. Like wise a seeker should also carry on his Seva, Sadhna, Satsang and Chanting daily to keep the mind shining. Even if it is not practised for single day it will dull the mind. Moral: Practise makes man perfect!!

I want more children to be educated in spirituality in order to create a violence-free and stress-free society. We need to globalize wisdom

Question - Gurudev, What is your biggest wish? What can I do to get closer to your heart? Gurudev Sri Sri - You are already close to my heart. I want more children to be educated in spirituality in order to create a violence-free and stress-free society. We need to globalize wisdom . There are one thousand of us here. If we each sponsor a child, we would do a great service. Do service. Donate two percent of your income. It would be of immense benefit to you and to those who need it.

What is the difference between Punya, Paap and Karma?

Question - Gurudev, What is the difference between Punya, Paap and Karma? Gurudev Sri Sri - Punya is debit card - pay first and enjoy later. Paap is credit card - enjoy first and pay later.  Karma is a restaurant, where there is no need to place order - We are served , what we have cooked.

They are bliss, they want nothing for themselves and are here to spread happiness around them.

The names of many sanyasis end with “ananda”. Their very name reminds them that they are bliss, they want nothing for themselves and are here to spread happiness around them.          No man is an island entire of itself. If one person in a family is unhappy, it affects every other member. We are all interdependent on, and interconnected with, one another. Though happiness is an individual attitude, it is also linked to our environment. No one can claim to be happy when there are riots in the next street.          That’s why we need to take the responsibility of spreading wisdom and care for the happiness of others. - Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

strength ..... comes through spiritual knowledge. Through knowing how things are. Knowing the reality.

Obstacles do come in life, but to overcome obstacles, one needs to be strong. And strength ..... comes through spiritual knowledge. Through knowing how things are. Knowing the reality.     Quotes from Ashtavakra Gita by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji

I do nothing - I am the supreme witness! Forever free. Forever happy

Doing or not doing - both come from not knowing. Wisdom.... comes from knowing that in reality - I do nothing - I am the supreme  witness! Forever free. Forever happy         QUOTES FROM ASHTAVAKRA GITA BY GURUDEV SRI SRI RAVI SHANKARJI

In all forms and without form, there is only consciousness. With that knowledge and with your mind fixed on the divine, if you perform service, chittashuddhi (purification of the chitta) takes place. It is also auspicious for the human being.

In all forms and without form, there is only consciousness.   With that knowledge and with your mind fixed on the divine, if you perform service, chittashuddhi (purification of the chitta) takes place. It is also auspicious for the human being.  Patience is indeed the foundation for the highest good. For the seeker, the direction should be towards the effortless revelation of his own nature.

When you realise that you are the witness to all that is happening then you are free

For one who has awakened in knowledge , there is no more suffering

When we receive something that we are not deserving of, or which exceeds our capabilities, then that is what is called Grace.
