Pumpkin

Pumpkin is a vernacular term for mature winter squash of species and varieties in the genus Cucurbita that has culinary and cultural significance. Pumpkins are a highly nutrient-dense food because they are rich in vitamins and minerals, but low in calories. They are also one of the best known sources of beta-carotene.
