One who departs from the body uttering the single-syllable Brahman "Om" and remembering Me attains the Supreme Goal.

भगवद्गीता– अध्याय ८, श्लोक १३ ओमित्येकाक्षरं ब्रह्म व्याहरन्मामनुस्मरन् | यः प्रयाति त्यजन्देहं स याति परमां गतिम् || अनुवाद: जो व्यक्ति एकाक्षर ब्रह्म "ॐ" का उच्चारण करते हुए और मेरा स्मरण करते हुए शरीर त्याग देते हैं वह परम गति को प्राप्त होते हैं। One who departs from the body uttering the single-syllable Brahman "Om" and remembering Me attains the Supreme Goal. Sri Bhagavan said, "O mighty armed! Undoubtedly, the mind is restless and difficult to restrain. But, O son of Kunti! Through practice and dispassion, it can be controlled."

भगवद्गीता– अध्याय ६, श्लोक ३५ श्रीभगवानुवाच | असंशयं महाबाहो मनो दुर्निग्रहं चलम् | अभ्यासेन तु कौन्तेय वैराग्येण च गृह्यते || अनुवाद: श्रीभगवान ने कहा, "हे महाबाहू! निस्संदेह, मन चंचल है और इसे संयम करना कठिन है। परंतु, हे कुंतीपुत्र! अभ्यास और वैराग्य के माध्यम से इसे नियंत्रित किया जा सकता है।" Sri Bhagavan said, "O mighty armed! O Partha! How can one who knows this self (atman) to be imperishable, eternal, birthless, and immutable cause anyone to be killed or kill anyone?

भगवद्गीता– अध्याय २, श्लोक २१ वेदाविनाशिनं नित्यं य एनमजमव्ययम् | कथं स पुरुष: पार्थ कं घातयति हन्ति कम् || अनुवाद: हे पार्थ! जो इस आत्मा को अविनाशी, नित्य, जन्मरहित, और अपरिवर्तनीय जानते हैं, वह किसी की मृत्यु का कारण कैसे हो सकते हैं या किसी को मार सकते हैं? O Partha! How can one who knows this self (atman) to be imperishable, eternal, birthless, and immutable cause anyone to be killed or kill anyone? Bhagavad Gita

I am equanimous to all beings; there is none hateful or dear to Me. But those who worship Me with devotion are in Me, and I am in them as well.

भगवद्गीता– अध्याय ९, श्लोक २९ समोऽहं सर्वभूतेषु न मे द्वेष्योऽस्ति न प्रिय: | ये भजन्ति तु मां भक्त्या मयि ते तेषु चाप्यहम् || अनुवाद: मैं समस्त भूतों के प्रति समभाव रखता हूँ, न कोई मुझे घृणित है और न ही प्रिय। परन्तु जो भक्तिपूर्वक मुझे भजते हैं, वे मुझ में हैं, और मैं भी उन में हूँ। I am equanimous to all beings; there is none hateful or dear to Me. The righteous, who consume the leftover food offered in the sacrifice (yajna), are freed from all sins. In contrast, sinners who cook food solely for themselves incur sin.

Wherever Krishna, the Lord of Yoga, and Arjuna, the wielder of the bow, are present, prosperity, victory, opulence, and firm policy will undoubtedly prevail; this is my conviction.

Tamasic people prefer foods that are half-cooked, tasteless, putrid, stale, leftover, and impure.

The self (atman) is neither born nor does it ever die, nor, having once existed, does it ever cease to be. The self is without birth, eternal, ageless, and immortal. It is not destroyed, even if the body is destroyed.

The yogi, whose mind is content with knowledge and wisdom of the self, who remains unmoved under any circumstances, who has conquered their senses, and who looks upon a lump of earth, a stone, and a piece of gold equally, is said to have achieved union.

भगवद्गीता– अध्याय ६, श्लोक ८ ज्ञानविज्ञानतृप्तात्मा कूटस्थो विजितेन्द्रिय: | युक्त इत्युच्यते योगी समलोष्टाश्मकाञ्चन: || अनुवाद: वे योगी, जिनका अन्तःकरण ज्ञान-विज्ञान से तृप्त है, जो किसी भी परिस्थिति में निर्विकार रहते हैं, जो अपने इंद्रियों पर विजय प्राप्ति कर चुके हैं और जो मिट्टी के ढेले, पत्थर और सोने के टुकड़े को एक समान देखते हैं, उन्हे युक्त (योगारूढ़) कहा जाता है। The yogi, whose mind is content with knowledge and wisdom of the self, who remains unmoved under any circumstances, who has conquered their senses, and who looks upon a lump of earth, a stone, and a piece of gold equally, is said to have achieved union. May my breath merge with the eternal and all-pervading Vayu (life breath); may this body be reduced to ashes. Om. O Mind, remember, remember all my deeds.

ईश उपनिषद– मंत्र १७ वायुरनिलममृतमथेदं भस्मान्तं शरीरम् | ॐ | क्रतो स्मर कृतं स्मर क्रतो स्मर कृतं स्मर || तात्पर्य: मेरी श्वास शाश्वत और सर्वव्यापी वायु (प्राणवायु) में विलीन हो जाए और यह शरीर जलकर राख हो जाए। ॐ। हे मन, याद कर, मेरे सभी कर्मों को याद कर। May my breath merge with the eternal and all-pervading Vayu (life breath); may this body be reduced to ashes. ईश उपनिषद– मंत्र १८ अग्ने नय सुपथा राये अस्मान्विश्वानि देव वयुनानि विद्वान् | युयोध्यस्मज्जुहुराणमेनो भूयिष्ठां ते नम उक्तिं विधेम || तात्पर्य: हे अग्निदेव! हमें हमारे कर्मफलों की प्राप्ति के लिए समुचित मार्ग दर्शन कीजिए। आप दिव्य ज्ञाता हैं और हमारे सभी कर्मों से अवगत हैं। हमें भ्रामक पापों से मुक्त कीजिए। हम अपने शब्दों से आपको हार्दिक नमन करते हैं। O Agni (Lord of Fire)! It is said that one thing is attained from the worship of the manifested creation and another from the worship of the unmanifested nature. We have heard this from the wise who have taught us.

ईश उपनिषद– मंत्र १३ अन्यदेवाहुः संभवादन्यदाहुरसंभवात् | इति शुश्रुम धीराणां ये नस्तद्विचचक्षिरे || तात्पर्य: कहा गया है कि व्यक सृष्टि की उपासना का फल अलग है और अव्यक्त प्रकृति की उपासना का फल अलग है। हमने यह उन धीरज्ञानियों से सुना है जिन्होंने हमें यह शीक्षा दी है। It is said that one thing is attained from the worship of the manifested creation and another from the worship of the unmanifested nature. ईश उपनिषद– मंत्र १४ संभूतिं च विनाशं च यस्तद्वेदोभयं सह | विनाशेन मृत्युं तीर्त्वा संभूत्यामृतमश्नुते || तात्पर्य: जो यह समझते हैं कि व्यक्त सृष्टि और अव्यक्त प्रकृति दोनों की उपासना एक साथ करना चाहिए, वे व्यक्त सृष्टि की उपासना के माध्यम से मृत्यु को पार करते हैं और अव्यक्त प्रकृति की उपासना के माध्यम से अमरता को प्राप्त करते हैं। Those who understand that both the manifested creation and the unmanifested nature should be worshipped together transcend death from the worship of the manifested creation and attain immortality from the worship of the unmanifested nature. The face of the Truth is veiled by a disc of gold. Open it, O Nourisher! Remove it so that I, the worshipper of Truth, may behold It.

ईश उपनिषद– मंत्र १५ हिरण्मयेन पात्रेण सत्यस्यापिहितं मुखम् | तत्त्वं पूषन्नपावृणु सत्यधर्माय दृष्टये || तात्पर्य: सत्य का चेहरा सोने के आवरण से ढका हुआ है। इसे खोलो, हे पोषणकर्ता! इसे हटाओ ताकि सत्य का उपासक, मैं उसे देख सकूँ। The face of the Truth is veiled by a disc of gold. O Sustainer, solitary voyager of the heavens, sovereign of all, O Sun, progeny of Prajapati! Gather your beams and soften your radiance, so that through your benevolence, I can get a glimpse of your most auspicious form. Indeed, I am the Divine Being (Purusha), residing within.

ईश उपनिषद– मंत्र १६ पूषन्नेकर्षे यम सूर्य प्राजापत्य व्यूह रश्मीन्समूह | तेजः यत्ते रूपं कल्याणतमं तत्ते पश्यामि योऽसावसौ पुरुषः सोऽहमस्मि || तात्पर्य: हे पालनकर्ता, स्वर्ग के एकान्त यात्री, सर्वाधिपति, हे सूर्यदेव, प्रजापति की संतान! अपनी किरणों को इकट्ठा कीजिए और अपनी चकाचौन्द को धीमा कीजिए, ताकि आपकी कृपा से, मैं आपकी मंगलमय रूप का दर्शन कर सकूँ। वास्तव में, मैं ही वो दिव्य पुरुष हूँ जो भीतर निवास करते हैं। O Sustainer, solitary voyager of the heavens, sovereign of all, O Sun, progeny of Prajapati! Those who engage in worship of the unmanifested nature without understanding enter into profound darkness, but those who engage in worship of the manifested creation alone enter into an even deeper darkness.

ईश उपनिषद– मंत्र १२ अन्धं तमः प्रविशन्ति येऽसम्भूतिमुपासते | ततो भूय इव ते तमो य उ संभूत्यां रताः || तात्पर्य: जो लोग बिना समझे अव्यक प्रकृति की उपासना करते हैं, वे घोर अंधकार में प्रवेश करते हैं, परंतु जो केवल व्यक्त सृष्टि की उपासना में लगे रहते हैं, वे उससे भी अधिक घोर अंधकार में प्रवेश करते हैं। Those who engage in worship of the unmanifested nature without understanding enter into profound darkness, but those who engage in worship of the manifested creation alone enter into an even deeper darkness.
