Question - Gurudev, How do we balance worldly activities and spiritual practices? Gurudev Sri Sri - How do you walk? You lift up one leg and keep the second on the ground, and then you alternate. This is balance. Can you walk without balance? A man walking in his senses knows what balance is. You balance your life like this. If you leave all your work and only meditate, you will not even be able to meditate. And if you only do work and don' t do your practices, you will feel that longing for meditation. So, listen to your heart. It gets pulled towards both. Balance both well.

Question - Gurudev, I am afraid of so many things especially death. How to overcome fear? Gurudev Sri Sri - Meditation, and Meditation. Meditation, and Knowledge: only two things will help you overcome this fear.

Question - Gurudev, The Divine has given me everything. What can I offer as a gift to the Divine?     Gurudev Sri Sri - Keep this question with yourself from time to time, the Divine will take the appropriate gift from you. Whenever you feel upset, hatred, anger, or any negative emotion, give it to the Divine and be happy.    Spread the knowledge, and happiness to other people. The happiness, faith, and devotion you have, whether it is a spark or a flame, should spread to other people so that they experience the same joy, and happiness in their lives.

Question - Gurudev, How can I decide which actions will give me happiness? Gurudev Sri Sri - Those actions which may seem to bring short term unhappiness yet bring long term happiness are good. Those that seem to bring short term benefits but bring long term misery are bad.

In the summer of 2014, we were living in Boston. My husband got a new job offer from Amazon. We were not sure whether to accept it as the position was based in Seattle and would require us to relocate. Life has been nothing less than splendid after the Master came into my life. He has been there in mind and spirit even when the whole world has been against me. This incident happened in 2011. It was the seventh semester of the 4 year B.tech (CSE) programme. Every student was preparing to get a job and be placed somewhere. My plans were pretty much the same. A 15 day placement practice class was introduced by the authority, which would benefit the students in getting well prepared for the corporate world. It was in the month of September when “Cognizant Technology Solutions” came to my university for placements. The process took three days and there were 3 rounds post which 600 students were selected from the 1900 odd seekers. I got rejected in the second round itself while quite a few of my friends landed in the final round and got placed as well. It was extremely disheartening for me at that time, as I was very enthusiastic about getting a job. My first meeting with Guruji was so beautiful & surprising. I had gone to meet Guruji at the place where he was staying not knowing that the meeting with him is only open to teachers. But I did not feel bad about it because I had decided that I am going to meet him by all means, no matter what. "Through The Master's Eyes" Once Guruji was returning to the German Ashram from Caracas, Venezuela. However, due to unavailability of a direct flight to Frankfurt, he landed in Paris before going to the Ashram. It was a surprise visit for all Parisians. It also happened to be Guruji's birthday according to the Hindu calendar. So a surprise satsang with a cake was planned in the hotel where he was staying.
