There was a time in my life when the only thing that used to go on in my mind; how to commit suicide. I was tired and frustrated and I just wanted life to end. One day I left the Ashram. Another devotee accompanied me. I think it was Kashi bhaiyaa. So I just left. And nobody came to know where I went. We went to a faraway village. In July 2011, Gurudev had announced the ‘World Cultural Festival’ to be held at Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany. The event would mark 30 years since the foundation of The Art of Living. It was going to be a mega event celebrating the rich cultural heritage of societies across the world. As I was based in Texas, USA, my family and friends were naturally apprehensive of my plans to visit Germany only for a weekend! Despite their stiff resistance, my mind was made. I purchased the air tickets, booked a nearby hotel and was all set for the exciting journey! Upon reaching the airport, I realized I had left all of my printed papers at home! I'm lucky to have learnt meditation and to have been initiated on the spiritual path at age 12 when most kids of my age were perhaps finding their bearings.  A few years after meeting Gurudev, I heard that he was transiting through Delhi. I had done my Yes+ Course in 2011 and since then, I wanted to go to the AOL Ashram in Bangalore. It was like a dream for me to be there. That place signifies heaven on earth. So in order to fulfil my deep desire to visit the Ashram at least once, I would always ask my parents to let me go for an Advance Course at the Ashram, but they would simply ignore.  Time passed by real soon and it was February 2012, and I had my Board exams in March. I am a Doctor and I am also preparing for the Civil Services Exams. It was in 2011 when suddenly something really shook me up. Despite my hard-work, results were not coming my way. For me, my family is everything. My sister’s kids are my kids. I want them to be good human beings and ardent followers of Guruji. It so happened that my niece threw a bombshell on us a couple of months back that she’s seeing a boy of a different religion. It all started about two months back, when my dad, who is a Bank manager posted in Bihar (India) and got stuck in a false litigation case. My dad is a very timid, nice hearted, and soft spoken person. I have been into Art of Living since 2007. I have done my Sahaj Samadhi Meditation course in Mumbai & have also done the Advanced course 5 times at the Bangalore Ashram, with Guruji.  Ever since then, Guruji has become an integral part of my life. After I did my Yes!+ course in March 2011, I was waiting to do an Advance course. I got the opportunity to do the course in December 2011 in Mumbai. I thought it would be nearly impossible to stay in silence for those 2-3 days. Plus, I was suffering from a knee injury so sitting for meditation all day long seemed like a task. However, the course was perfect and Guruji made sure that I faced no problems.  The course transformed me completely. I did my second advance course in May 2012 in the Bangalore Ashram. The whole trip was a miracle in itself! I had gone three days prior to my course, on Monday, with a few friends with the intention of spending more time with Guruji. Below is an account of my personal interaction with Sri Sri followed by an opportunity to interact with Him open for one and all – November, 2008 was the month that completely gave a new direction to my life.  It was in this month that I first time experienced the Sudarshan Kriya in the Youth Empowerment Skills Workshop (yes+). I did the Art of Silence Course in March 19th, 2015 with the absolutely brilliant and awesome teacher Percyji. The course was simply liberating, as everyone already knows. What I am about to share here is the Nature Walk exercise.  On the second day of the course, we were asked to go and enjoy the beauties of Mother Nature for an hour. Just outside the course venue (Sanyaas Ashram, Ghatkopar, Mumbai), there is a small lane where 4-Wheelers are often parked on both sides. There must have been a 4-wheeler parked the previous day as well, because I had failed to notice the usually noticeable few potted plants bang opposite the course venue’s gates, on the sidewalk.
