Bhagavad Gita 13.22:
The Supreme Being in this body is also known as the Witness, the Permitter, the Sustainer, the Enjoyer, the Great Lord, and the Supreme Self (Paramatman).
The Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 13, Verse 22, states:
"upadrashtanumanta cha bharta bhokta maheshwarah
paramatmeti capyukto dehe'smin purushah parah"
Which translates to:
"The Supreme Being in this body is also known as the Witness, the Permitter, the Sustainer, the Enjoyer, the Great Lord, and the Supreme Self (Paramatman)."
This verse highlights the various roles of the Supreme Being, or Paramatman, within the human body. It emphasizes that the Supreme Being is not only the witness to our actions and thoughts but also the one who permits, sustains, and enjoys our experiences. This verse reinforces the concept of the Supreme Being's presence within us and our interconnectedness with the divine.
