The state of yoga is attained via a balance between assiduousness (abhyasa) and imperturbability (vairagya). ||12||

अभ्यासवैराग्याअभ्यां तन्निरोधः ॥१२॥
abhyāsa-vairāgya-ābhyāṁ tan-nirodhaḥ ॥12॥
