The inherent quality of having nothing is hard to attain, even with just a loin-cloth. Hence I exist in pleasure at all times abandoning both the feelings of renunciation and acquisition.॥1॥

जनक उवाच-

अकिंचनभवं स्वास्थ्यं

कौपीनत्वेऽपि दुर्लभं।

त्यागादाने विहायास्माद-

हमासे यथासुखम्॥१३- १॥

श्री जनक कहते हैं - अकिंचन(कुछ अपना न) होने की सहजता केवल कौपीन पहनने पर भी मुश्किल से प्राप्त होती है, अतः त्याग और संग्रह की प्रवृत्तियों को छोड़कर सभी स्थितियों में, मैं सुखपूर्वक विद्यमान हूँ॥१॥
