Liberated man neither dislikes sense gratification nor likes them, hence he remains unperturbed in their achievement and non-achievement.॥17॥

न मुक्तो विषयद्वेष्टा

न वा विषयलोलुपः।

असंसक्तमना नित्यं

प्राप्ताप्राप्तमुपाश्नुते॥१७- १७॥

मुक्त पुरुष न तो विषयों से द्वेष करता है और न आसक्ति ही, (अतः) उनकी प्राप्ति और अप्राप्ति में सदा समान मन वाला रहता है॥१७॥
