Habit gives rise to attachment and rejection brings aversion. So, an intelligent person should stay indifferent like a child.॥8॥

प्रवृत्तौ जायते रागो

निर्वृत्तौ द्वेष एव हि।

निर्द्वन्द्वो बालवद् धीमान्

एवमेव व्यवस्थितः॥१६- ८॥

प्रवृत्ति से आसक्ति और निवृत्ति से द्वेष उत्पन्न होता है अतः बुद्धिमान, बालक के समान निर्द्वंद्व होकर स्थित रहे॥८॥
