Art Of Living And Guru’s Grace Brought The Positive Back To My Life

The day I attended my first Art of Living course, I knew I had opened a new dimension in my life.  It felt like my consciousness had awakened. Until then, I was a very logical person and hadn’t realized how stubborn I had become. However, thanks to AOL, my life changed for the better. I always assumed problems were gender specific. I used to think it’s easy for men to overcome their problems but not for me, I was getting vacuumed into all my issues. Luckily, this thinking has changed. We all face problems. Challenges do not escape anyone. It’s up to us to enjoy our lives and appreciate the ups and downs it brings us. Everything is a lesson. Through the course, I understood the importance of self-discovery. I learnt to accept all my problems and deal with them correctly. It gave me the gift of insight. Especially the insight into our culture and the importance of passing all of this down to the generations to come. My anger and stubbornness was seamlessly converted into ...

Sudarshan Kriya Changed My Life

There was a time in my life when the only thing that used to go on in my mind; how to commit suicide.  I was tired and frustrated and I just wanted life to end. I used to keep thinking of several ways by which I could commit suicide. One day I was told about the Art of Living Part 1 course. I went for it and believe me, after doing the Kriya only once; I fell in love with it. When I came back home after the course my mother was very surprised to see me. She said that I am looking cheerful and energetic. I told her that I am going to make Guruji my spiritual Guru. Since then I became a dedicated devotee. The Sudarshan Kriya has all by itself changed my life. Earlier, I used to feel very tired, lazy and lethargic. I used to get irritated very soon and even the smallest things would irritate me. I would not talk much; just remain silent all the time. My mother would also wonder why I always looked tired and pale. She would always tell me to talk and get some liveliness in ...

He fulfills all our desires without us realising that its fulfilled

He fulfills all our desires without us realising that its fulfilled. Life can turn 180° anytime. Be a Bhakt, be an Antewasi. I asked for a job and He gave me in one of the best ones within 30 days.  So I used to take regular Daily Sadhana for our small group, online. But particularly from 1st of June 2021 I started saying this Sankalpa after our Kriya, "Gurudev I want a nice job/ business with a basic salary of that of a Travel Consultant or skills to earn the equivalent". I used to repeat this prayer every day after our Group Sadhana and that too without any cravings of the desire to get it fulfilled. After a continuous streak of several months, all of a sudden I stopped taking Group Sadhana for our Group for one week in July 2021 and also didn't do my Kriya for 10 Days at a stretch. (you can relate if you have been doing SKY for 5+ years). Completely not so enthusiastic about the course, I didn't even do enough seva for 'Guru Purnima Course'.  On...

HE winked at me saying “Happy?"

We all are well versed with the way we behave when GURUJI is our town, right? And no matter how many teachers educate us on how to behave, we end up being just the opposite! One such was my story.  It was a great day for all of us studying in IIT Delhi. Guruji was to visit us that day! We sat in the IIT common room for the volunteer’s session with Avinash Tiku, who was preparing us for Guruji’s upcoming visit to Delhi, explaining to us that it is not wise to ‘chase’ the Master, especially when He is in our own city, and that it is way more important for us to ensure that new members of the Art of living, or the new volunteers should get their own moments with Guruji. This made complete sense to almost all of us in that room. Guruji was in Delhi the next day, big reason to be happy. But a bigger reason was that He had agreed to give an hour of His time to all the YES!+ volunteers. This much awaited session was being organised by a dynamic group of teachers and volunteers...

Guru kripa kevalam

Few years ago we devotees from Bharuch, Gujarat were going to Ahmedabad for Dhanlakshmi Homa and Satsang with Gurudev, in tempo traveller bus. But on Express Highway, our bus broke down and we were nowhere to go as we were in between the Express way. Driver called the help line and also his mechanic friend from Anand, but all this was going to take time and everyone wanted to reach the venue on time. So we decided to stop the buses of GSRTC so that we can reach Abad and then we can go by taxis, but getting lift was in vain 20 minutes passed and no halt of any vehicle then we prayed, "Guruji help". Within a minute a tempo came and took a halt, and asked what happened and we told him whole story and also told that we all have to reach Nikol, in Ahmedabad. He said he is going from there only and will drop us there. We all got so happy and all of us climbed on the open roof tempo and had an enjoyable and memorable ride. He dropped us just in front of the venue. Hum ja...

To Success Through Failures

It was the seventh semester of the 4 year B.tech (CSE) programme. Every student was preparing to get a job and be placed somewhere.  My plans were pretty much the same. A 15 day placement practice class was introduced by the authority, which would benefit the students in getting well prepared for the corporate world. It was in the month of September when “Cognizant Technology Solutions” came to my university for placements. The process took three days and there were 3 rounds post which 600 students were selected from the 1900 odd seekers. I got rejected in the second round itself while quite a few of my friends landed in the final round and got placed as well. It was extremely disheartening for me at that time, as I was very enthusiastic about getting a job. I felt the same way as one would feel when there is a celebration everywhere and you are not a part of it. But the Art of Living knowledge points were like a hero to me that time, which made me strong. Expectations ...

THIS WAS ABSOLUTE GRACE

This event happened on 29th August 2020 in Perth, Australia. Me, my husband and 1 of his friends were returning back from ganpati aarti on our way to drop this friend of ours.  We 3 were chatting casually while my husband drove the car and very suddenly from nowhere a big van came in front of us in high speed at the traffic lights intersection. The lights were green for us but what was the driver of the van upto, I have no clue. My husband noticed it first and beeped horn but he did not stop and my husband accelerated the car instead of applying breaks. This all happened within fraction of seconds. Because my husband accelerated, we avoided the almost big collision with that van. The van crossed our car from behind. No injuries, not a scratch..everyone was safe. It still gives me goose bumps while I am penning this story. THIS WAS ABSOLUTE GRACE. We all 3 may have sustained big injuries given that both cars were driving at around 70 km/hr. The air bags could have opened...
