Hi, let's meet, Barbados Cherry Bush (Malpighia glabra), also known as Wild Crepe Myrtle and Acerola, is a native of Puerto Rico and the USA. The plant is a member from the type genus Malpighia of the family Malpighiaceae  It is a shrub or small evergreen tree, less than 6 m tall, with spreading, more or less drooping branches on a short trunk. The glabrous leaves are opposite, ovate to elliptic-lanceolate, with entire or undulating margins, dark green and glossy above, with short petioles. Inflorescences are sessile or have a short-peduncle, produced in axillary cymes of 3-5 flowers. The Divine can come to you in any form at any time. Gurudev came to my rescue in the form of that labourer at a crucial time. About a decade ago, I went to Jaipur to teach a few Art of Living courses. On reaching my host family’s home, I left my suitcases in the room and rushed to the building across the road where lunch had been organised by some teachers.  I had barely reached the building, and slipped and fell on a small slope at the entrance. To my utter dismay, what i thought was a slight sprain, was actually a broken ankle - broken into two pieces. My left foot was kind of dangling on the side and here i was in a blanked out mindless state, making desperate attempts to straighten my foot. Some labourers from an adjacent construction saw me do that. One of them came running, sat down next to me and stopped me from trying to straighten my foot. The story dates back to 2013. Not much time had passed, since I joined Art of Living. But, a short span of time had instilled an indelible faith.  It took me no time to know that Gurudeva loves us immensely and is always there to make everything fall in place. I had to travel to Germany for business reason. The stay there was no shorter than 2 months and I have a small child who was then three and half years old. I had not left her alone even for a night and there was absolutely no way that I could be away from her for 2 months. I was worried and perturbed and could not find a way out. On the 27th of October, 2014, I was blessed with the birth of a baby boy, my son. But on the same day, we were informed that the baby’s food canal was blocked, as the baby was not in-taking Milk. Due to this, the Milk was flowing out from his nose and mouth. This was a very grave situation for me and my entire family. We were all shocked as to how such a tragedy could happen to a child who is just one day old on this planet.  But there was no answer to our questions. A feeling of deep helplessness gripped me. Our Doctor advised for surgery, in order to open the baby’s blocked canal, as that was the only option left. The Doctor also told us that this surgery would be risky and critical, and would have 50-50 chances of saving the baby. Being a father, this news shattered me completely. I was in dire need to do an Advance course but something or the other would keep coming up. I was praying to Gurudev for it and then Blessings came to me in many forms. I happened to get the opportunity, this Gurupoornima, in the form of Kamalashile Gurupoornima Special Advance course. Kamalashile is a tranquil, beautiful village with dense forests and amazing waterfalls located in Mangalore.  Our course venue was Sri Brahmi Durga Parmeshwari temple on the banks of a beautiful river in Kamalashile. It was the seventh semester of the 4 year B.tech (CSE) programme. Every student was preparing to get a job and be placed somewhere. My plans were pretty much the same. A 15 day placement practice class was introduced by the authority, which would benefit the students in getting well prepared for the corporate world. It was in the month of September when “Cognizant Technology Solutions” came to my university for placements. The process took three days and there were 3 rounds post which 600 students were selected from the 1900 odd seekers. I got rejected in the second round itself while quite a few of my friends landed in the final round and got placed as well. It was extremely disheartening for me at that time, as I was very enthusiastic about getting a job.  I felt the same way as one would feel when there is a celebration everywhere and you are not a part of it. Friendliness, compassion and meditation should continue as practices till you realise that they are your very nature. The flaw in doing something as an act is that you look for a result. When it is done as your nature, you are not attached to the result and you continue doing it. An action that arises from your nature is neither tiring nor frustrating. For example, daily routines like brushing one's teeth or bathing are not even considered actions because they are so integrated into one's life. You do all this without doership. When Seva is made part of your nature, it happens without doership. Question:- When do you realise that compassion, meditation and Seva are your nature? Answer:- When you cannot be without it. Sharing Swami Brahmatej ji :  I wanted to write this last evening. But something happened in the meditation. Went to lie down for a few minutes, got up only after 12 hrs. There is so much I want to share. But then so does everybody. Then there is always the concern that I might just crowding up your cyber space. Gratefully you have a delete or scroll button. So here goes. By now you all must be feeling that Gurudev is doing something on a global scale in this trying time. It is like a phenomenon unfolding. All of us, who are AOL teachers since the 90’s, Remember?  Gurudev used to say “ Jaldi Gyaan do sab ko. Samay nahi hai” And at other times “jinke paas gyaan hogaa wahi tarenge”. Was what we are facing now is what HE was referring to then? And also remember? The phenomenon that was unfolding then? We did not know the amazingly vast application, efficacy and power of the Sudarshan Kriya. We did not know how to teach a course. We did not know the way the Gurutatwa ...

Kundalini simply means the energy in your body. Unless it is awakened there is no life. And in the very first Sudarshan Kriya you do it is already awakened. It doesn’t have to be dramatic. There are three types of kundalini shakti. One is sattvic. The most harmonious, gentle awakening of the kundalini shakti. And you don’t even know that it’s awakened, automatically you start being very happy, generous, large hearted, big minded, compassionate, intuitive. All these things keep happening spontaneously. Second is the rajasic type where you find this jerk and all this drama happens. A lot of dramatic intense experiences come, this is the rajasic way. There is no tamasic way of developing kundalini. If at all some people consider tamasic, the people who use some powers and black magic and this and that sort of thing.  But I don’t consider it as tamasic kundalini at all but it is some spirit powers you know.
