Rejoice Without Conflict

Chapter 3 - Rejoice Without Conflict Day 13 Love can only blossom in freedom. When freedom is restricted, love suffocates. You need to be free. Often love stifles. When you are in love or when you love somebody, you feel stifled because you are obliged.  When there are so many obligations that you need to fulfil, then these obligations become like a load on your head and you get the added responsibility not to hurt the people you love and who love you.  In a subtle sense, this takes the freedom away and slowly demands start arising in you. The moment demand arises in you, know that love is on its death-bed. Love is in an oxygen chamber and it doesn’t live very long. Demand destroys love.  Freedom is essential. So whether in the world, in religious or in spiritual matters, follow love rather than the rules. This was the sutra that we heard. A lover is beyond all rules. There is no rule on how to express your love.  All expressions are a spontaneous outburs...

The valor, vigor, peace, stability and focus

Go by your dedication, your commitment to a cause on this planet. That will draw out the valor, vigor, peace, stability and focus from within you. Otherwise, you feel good one moment and bad the next and the cycle will only continue. Running away from the situation won't make it disappear, "Oh! I'll go to the Himalayas and meditate for three to five years, then things will be different.' What will you do? Five years later you will get into the same mess, or an even bigger mess.        Stop worrying about, 'Who will help me? How will I get the resources?' Why should nature give you more when you are stuck with your little mind? The greater your commitment, the greater nature will support with commitment with more energy and greater help. And the means will come to you automatically. That's the beauty of life, the magnanimity of life, the way to expand in life. - Gurudev Sri Sri.. - An excerpt from the book "Stumbling Into Infinity"..

Divine Founder of Ayurveda

Lord Dhanvantari, the Divine Founder of Ayurveda Om Dhanvantaraye Namah Lord Dhanvantari diya - Lord Dhanvantari is considered the founder of Ayurveda Lord Dhanvantari diya - Lord Dhanvantari is considered the founder of Ayurveda  Ayurveda is a spiritual science in itself. It is believed that Ayurveda, as a branch of the Vedas, is a stream of the knowledge passed down from generation to generation since eternity, much in the same way as Vedic literature and the Vedic scriptures were. As the story goes, the knowledge of Ayurveda was created by Brahma, the Creator, who gave it to Prajapati, who passed it to the Ashwini Kumari (the celestial Twin Physicians), who in turn passed it down to Indra, and so on. According to the Charaka Samhita, the knowledge of Ayurveda is eternal and is revealed in each of the cycles of creation of the universe. When needed, Lord Vishnu himself incarnates as Lord Dhanvantari and reestablishes the tradition of Ayurveda in the world to help reli...

Importance, Ayurvedic Benefits And Recipe Panchamrit or Panchamrutham is a concoction of five ingredients (Milk, Curd, Honey, Sugar, and Ghee), typically used during a Pooja (Hindu religious worship). The word Panchamrita is a combination of two words – ‘Pancha’ means five, and ‘Amrita’ is a mythological beverage of immortality (or the Nectar of Gods). Lotus Flower in Hinduism – Significance and Symbolism

Lotus Flower in Hinduism – Significance and Symbolism Lotus Flower is one of the most popular symbols in Hindu religion. It is believed that Lord Brahma emerged from the navel of Lord Vishnu sitting on a lotus. Goddess Saraswati, the Hindu Goddess of learning, is shown sitting on a lotus. Lotus flower is a symbol of eternity, plenty and good fortune and Goddess Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, is usually depicted with a lotus flower. The symbolism of Lotus flower is mentioned in the 5th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita by Lord Krishna: One who does all work as an offering to the Lord, abandoning attachment to the results, is as untouched by sin (or Karmic reaction) as a lotus leaf is untouched by water. (5.10). Thus Lotus is a symbol of purity and enlightenment amid ignorance (the smutty swamps in which it grows). Lotus in spite of being in water never gets wet. It is not bothered about its surrounding but it blooms and performs its job and vanishes. The ultima...

We would like to give a brief definition about ayurveda.  Deviating from the known approaches of our times to human body, Ayurveda studies the human body more from a functional point of view. The human body is more complex th...
