The Charaka Saṃhitā (चरक संहिता) or "Compendium of Charaka"
The Charaka Saṃhitā (चरक संहिता) or "Compendium of Charaka" is an early text on Ayurveda (Indian traditional medicine).
It is one of the two foundational texts of this field, both dating to the early centuries of the Common Era, alongside the Sushruta Samhita.
Exact time of conceptualization cannot be said, but it is somewhat around 100 BC to 100 AD.
It was written by one Maharishi Charak, as was told or narrated by his guru Maharishi Agnivesha.
