          Musa velutina, is a diploid species of wild banana. These plants are originally from Assam and other Northeast states of India. But it can found in Asian countries like China, Japan, Thailand & Philippines. It can be found in Nyishi inhabitants areas like Kurung Kumey, Kraa Dadi etc. Locals of said places are very fond of it during fruit ripe season. The species are grown alongside the riverine where dark soil, steady warmth & moisture are there.

          Bananas provide a variety of vitamins and minerals: vitamin B6, manganese, vitamin C, potassium, dietary fiber, protein, magnesium, folate, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin A, and iron
Medicinal effects: Possible health benefits include: Maintaining blood pressure, improve asthma symptoms, may reduce risk of developing leukemia, and support heart health.

          It is advised that, high potassium foods such as bananas should be consumed in moderation when people are on beta-blockers. Consuming too much potassium can also be harmful for those whose kidneys are not fully functional.

          Asian countries used wild banana for Eating raw, cooking, fertilizer, attract birds & butterflies, polish leather. Many nations in tropical areas use banana leaves to wrap and cook/steam food. In east Mexico and Central America, tamales are wrapped in banana leaves instead of the traditional corn husks used by central Mexico.
