Ocimum tenuiflorum
Ocimum tenuiflorum, commonly known as holy basil or tulsi, is an aromatic perennial plant in the family Lamiaceae.
It is native to the Indian subcontinent and widespread as a cultivated plant throughout the Southeast Asian tropics.
Medical use of Tulsi:
It can cure fever.
Tulsi leaves are used to treat skin problems like acne, blackheads, premature ageing and insect bites.
More importantly, it is also used to treat heart disease and respiratory problems.
