When attention is given to the spiritual aspect of one's life, it brings a sense of belongingness, responsibility, compassion and caring for the whole of humanity.~ Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

The power of love actually transcends the worlds. When you meditate, or do any spiritual practice, a portion of the merits goes to your ancestors. It is like clearing some debt, giving, or sharing good things that you have.~ Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Spiritual practices are not necessarily serious & difficult. If you follow wisdom, fun follows you. If you follow fun, misery follows you.~ Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

I try to forget the mistakes I made in the past and move ahead. But the people around me keep reminding me of those past mistakes. What should I do?

Question:  I try to forget the mistakes I made in the past and move ahead. But the people around me keep reminding me of those past mistakes. What should I do? Sri   Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji:  Smile and move forward. If they are not able to forget the mistakes of the past, then that is their problem. You should forget the mistakes of the past, just drop it and move ahead. You are not the same person as you were in the past when you committed those mistakes, you have changed. If you want attention, all you get is tension! It’s okay for you to show your upset mood or tendency once in a while, but doing it over & over again is taxing for you and people you love.          People who keep a long face & expect others to cajole and appease them make others run away.          How would you like to see yourself? Happy & bubbling with enthusiasm or dull & difficult to please? - Gurudev Sri Sri..

Do you know what a sign of wisdom and intelligence is ? A true sign of wisdom is realizing that good events come and go, bad events come and go and as we move on

Do you know what a sign of wisdom and intelligence is ?           A true sign of wisdom is realizing that good events come and go, bad events come and go and as we move on, we come out even more beautiful from these happenings. We blossom even more.           We need to stay in touch with this consciousness and keep it alive within us.             Never lose your smile for anything, never let your enthusiasm come down, just keep moving ahead. - Gurudev Sri Sri ..

If somebody says something bad, you keep thinking about it over and over again in your mind, and become restless

If somebody says something bad, you keep thinking about it over and over again in your mind, and become restless – He did this and that person betrayed me.           But see, they only acted in accordance with their nature! One whose nature is to betray, will betray. What else will they do?           Now by thinking about, why he did this and why he did that to you, will only spoil your own mind. This is not a sign of intelligence. - Gurudev Sri Sri ..

An ignorant person may make many mistakes.A knowledgeable person makes just one mistake - he thinks he knows.- Gurudev Sri Sri ..
