Gurudev, our friends in Europe are trying to get rid of religion entirely. What's your view on that?

Question - Gurudev, our friends in Europe are trying to get rid of religion entirely. What's your view on that? Gurudev Sri Sri - Religion has its own place, but I feel that spirituality is something that rises above religion and unites people's hearts and minds. religion has got spiritual values in it. This is what needs to be highlighted much more than the practices that the different sects practice. I would say we need to have unity in diversity, at the same time, enrich the diversity because that is the beauty of our planet. We are so different, and there are different rituals and different practices, none of it should be lost. Everything has its own value. There is a unifying force in all religions, and that is of the values of compassion, love, and togetherness. These values need to take the front.

There were only three words that crossed my mind then – Guru, Grace, Gratitude, I was cent percent sure that this beautiful miracle was only possible with my Masters’ unending Grace.

On the 27th of October, 2014, I was blessed with the birth of a baby boy, my son. But on the same day, we were informed that the baby’s food canal was blocked, as the baby was not in-taking Milk. Due to this, the Milk was flowing out from his nose and mouth. This was a very grave situation for me and my entire family. We were all shocked as to how such a tragedy could happen to a child who is just one day old on this planet. But there was no answer to our questions. A feeling of deep helplessness gripped me. Our Doctor advised for surgery, in order to open the baby’s blocked canal, as that was the only option left. The Doctor also told us that this surgery would be risky and critical, and would have 50-50 chances of saving the baby. Being a father, this news shattered me completely. I just did not know how to react, what to do, where to go. And in such times of deep distress, there is only one power that comes to your rescue – Your Faith in the Master! These times are a tru...

With teamwork you will achieve more than you can individually. Some kinds of work are best done alone, and some others, as part of a team. You should find a balance between working alone and working in a team.

Chapter 4 - Methods Of Developing Leadership Skills  Day 7 9. Building a Team - These 5 principles will help you build a strong and effective team :  i. Never underestimate your team members. If you do, you will not be able to win their trust. ii. Defend your intentions and not your actions. Often people defend their actions and lose sight of their intentions. Then they feel sorry and weak. There is no need to feel sorry. You should defend your intention to do right. iii. With teamwork you will achieve more than you can individually. Some kinds of work are best done alone, and some others, as part of a team. You should find a balance between working alone and working in a team.  In either case, you will face obstacles. The skill lies in not developing an aversion to either and instead, focusing on the goal. iv. Do not defend someone's mistakes. It does not do justice to the team and stops the person from learning. Soft-heartedness and misplaced compassion in a...
